Allergy Filtration:
If
you have allergies, a HEPA filtration vacuum
and/or air purifier could help you breath easier and may
reduce medical problems, however not all HEPA filtering machines clean the
air, some actually pollute the
air!
Not all HEPA filters are created the
same, while most vacuums today have a HEPA filter, they are not designed
around the filter. Most vacuums are designed, then a filter is then put
in place. Plus the filter in the vacuum may not be a well designed
HEPA.
Note: there are
no laws in America requiring companies to use a certain grade of media or to have
their filters tested to ensure levels of claimed filtration. This
creates a gray area involving HEPA filtration, some call
their filters "HEPA Type"," HEPA Style", "True
HEPA" and some even call them "HEPA". Don't
be misled, THESE ARE NOT REAL HEPA FILTERS!
There are only a few vacuums with certified
HEPA
filters. Miele Vacuums (S500-S600) are the worlds first certified HEPA
vacuums and the IQ Air
is the worlds first HEPA certified Air Purifier
(Certified by the European Norm (EN 1822)) .
EN 1822, which was released in the year 2000 is the world's most
advanced and stringent air filter standard for particulate filters. Many
high-tech manufacturers such as Intel already require their filter
suppliers to supply them with EN 1822 certification.

To demonstrate how well these products perform,
and also to expose the machines with HEPA filters that do not have any
benefit, we invested in a laboratory particle scanner.
This scanner will show at the HEPA level (.3 microns) how many particles
per cubic foot are in the air. While some machines expel levels that are
unbelievable, in the tens of millions (Yes this is true, even of thousand
dollar machines with HEPA's), the certified HEPA units we offer expel
levels in the hundreds and below!
